I have now completed all 75 Peggle challenges, which was actually much easier than I expected. Spooky Ball is your friend. Here's another tip: On the level with "FEVER" spelled out in bricks, aim the gun as far to the right as it will go, then hit the left arrow key six times, then fire.
You're welcome.
Now, only the ultimate challenge-- 100% on every level-- remains. It will be mine.
Posted by Peter at April 9, 2007 3:17 PMI started playing Peggle when you first posted it. I've been at the "Get 100% on everything" for a while and have about 60% of them done. However, I don't think I'll ever get them all. In order to clear some of them, you will have to be extremely lucky several times on one board.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to continue trying, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
As for strategy, I find spooky ball to usually be a waste. It inevitably comes back down exactly where it went down the first time. It hits possibly one or two more pegs and is gone.
Personally, I like using Warren and his magic wheel. It is sometimes frustrating because you don't always get good stuff, but if you get magic hat or triple score (or if you are really lucky, magic hat and triple score on the same ball), you can get a bazillion points, clear a lot of pegs and earn a bunch of free balls. That's the good stuff.
Posted by: 5cott on April 10, 2007 3:52 AMhow'd you get 750000?
Posted by: adi on April 12, 2007 12:49 AMPersistence will eventually get you 750,000+ points on the Beyond Reason level with Master Hu. First, clear most of the orange pegs on the sides to build up your multiplier. Hit a green peg to get zen power. Then aim the ball toward the inner side of a peg near the bottom sides of the field. Your general goal is to bounce the ball into the double-helix at the bottom, so that the ball is elevated up by the spirals and you clear all of the center pegs in one fell swoopit takes luck and zen power, but if I can do it anyone can. You can clear 500,000 points off that one shot by itself, which gives you so many bonus balls that clearing the field for the 100,000 ULTRA EXTREME FEVER bonus is cake.
Posted by: Stephen Beeman on April 16, 2007 10:52 PMThe Triple Score power-up is also pretty useful. By having it active when I finished a level once, I got 374,400 points as an end-of-level bonus (for a total of 910,060). And I only landed in the 10,000 point bucket! If I'd sunk it in the middle, I'd have gotten a bonus of 644,000.
My high score is a 1,037,270 on Pearl Clam. I believe I chose Warren (the rabbit) and first got Flippers on the magic spin (which are PERFECT for that level), and then got Triple Score while the flippers were still active. So I was able to keep the ball alive and rack up big points.
Meanwhile, I'm 6 boards away from 100% on every level...
Posted by: Peter on April 16, 2007 11:36 PMIs this why you're going to be late to game night, tonight?
Posted by: Nathan on April 17, 2007 3:36 PMthis game is awsome
Posted by: ethan on July 11, 2008 6:18 AMThe two challenges I was still stuck on were the 750k and getting one million across three levels. I beat the latter, thanks very much to the tip from the first poster in this thread, and *just* beat the 750k challenge by using Space Blast on the Beyond Reason level -- both green pegs were located in the double helix, making it easy to clear out the entire thing. In the end, I got 769,100 by clearing every peg on the board and having 6 balls left. Not a totally astounding score, but enough to win the challenge. Huzzah!
